On Monday 17th October 2022, Miss Kernohan was notified by Digital School Awards that Kirkinriola Primary School is now recognised as a Digital School.
A range of evidence was submitted and a validation interview took place last week with an indepedendent assessor. The report concluded that:
"digital technology impacts all areas of Teaching and Learning across the age and ability range and both the co-ordinator and acting principal are proactive in creating innovation in practice. Evidence from the submitted documentation and the validation interview confirmed a clear and coherent management vision for the role of digital technology in supporting their curriculum and a well-integrated digital footprint in classroom delivery for Teaching and Learning at every stage."
The report also went on to note:
"that digital technology plays a central and vital role in supporting their curriculum delivery through Teaching and Learning."
Huge congratulations go to Miss Kernohan and the whole Kirkinriola Primary School Staff Team for all their continuing efforts in developing best practice in digital technology for all our pupils.
